A lot of new

On January 3, Lord willing, I'll fly from Nebraska to England.

I'll be leaving this:

(This is my new home in Oxford, the Vines.  It will be less green when I get there.)

This coming year will bring a lot of new.  First a semester in Oxford, and then student-teaching in the fall.  Am I ready for it?  Maybe.  Am I looking forward to it?  Yes!  A professor recently quoted to me Jim's happy remark from Great Expectations:  "What larks!"  I think it fits well here too.

What larks!

In other words, "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!"
